So for the first time in what feels like forever, I have been monogamous. To my knitting, that is … and since I haven’t had anything new to show, I haven’t updated in what also feels like forever. I’m still not done with the Sticks & Stones test knit for John. It’s coming along swimmingly but I confess that I might have underestimated how long it would take to knit a MANLY sweater in sport yarn. I was glad to hear that I wasn’t the only one that hadn’t finished by the time Anne released the pattern.

Sticks & Stones Progress

But I’m plugging away. And trying, trying, trying not to cheat. It’s so tempting when I get to this point though, so many other projects that start capturing my eye.

For example, I’ve decided to knit my first blanket. I saw this one  and just fell for it. What a fun way to accumulate tons of Plucky without really making a commitment to any one color. I’m up to 6 with one more on the way. There will be 12 total when all is said and done. Some of these may need to be replaced but that’s the fun part. I think knitting might not be as much fun since it’s basically a million feet of garter. Knit, knit, knit. And then knit some more!

Potential Blanket Yarn

I’m heading to San Antonio this week which means I’ll have some plane time to continue my monogamy. Or is it monotony?
